How to get the very latest checkin?

Is there any way to force Steam to download the very latest checkin, or any way to download it manually?

    Every update to the experimental mode will be automatically installed on your computer the update needs time to be drop on steam

    I don't suppose you have an idea how long it takes from checkin > Steam? Been waiting for about an hour now. There used to be a "Force Update" option on Steam, or am I imagining that?

    EDIT: OK well it just updated again, so that's about 2 hours. Cool!
