My wife got addicted to SN big-time. She's on a quest to gather and plant all the plants in the game. Which seems like a fun enough challenge. She may have gotten carried away though.
Somehow she managed to get on a reefback that was surfaced. Being out of water, the tiger plant was harmless. So she got a sample.
And planted it in a bed outside the rear hatch of her base.
Hilarity ensued.
She eventually had to sneak up on the bed with her habitat tool and dismantle the thing.

If she still wants tiger plants, they can be safely planted in alien containment units. 100% docile. That is, don't know if this has been fixed yet, but they will attack fish that get released within the unit, though not ones that hatch from eggs. When they attack released fish, odds are they'll hit your base instead.
I'll pass that along to her. She just built her first PRAWN suit, so she's busy stomping in the mud right now.
