got here Jan. 28 2002, first it was a living hell to be not able to play ns but then I bought a new game when i was on a wacation and then i almost forgot it but im still here and its not as painfull now

My profiles wrong on when I started by about a month (it
says january 30th). All the vets know I had to resign up
because I was half awake when I signed up the first time
and spelled it wrong. I left it like that for about a month
before I resigned up, Anyway my sig says omg I spelled
alien right because the first time around I spelled it
alian, wow I was tired when I did that. I think I signed
up the first time 2 days after the new boards where set up
so anyone who signed up on the first day the boards where
up add two days and thats how long Iv been here.

Well thats just a little bit of the confusion and story
behind me....

heh I was registered on the old forums but only had like 4 posts on them, I think a week or 2 after I registered they changed forums, thank god, these forums are much faster.I hope  this community can stay the way it is, or at least as long as possible. Yah, I have been thinking about that recently, and I have a few done... but I don't know what happened, the idea just stopped and I forgot about them, until I noticed the file on my HDD yesterday, I am definately going to finish them up this weekend, at least the main buttons, I might have to work on the icons later.

I think alot of people where following the mod before the new boards, I just couldnt stand the load time so I never signed up.

Last November, the day Gamespy had the modworld coverage. If you care, <a href="http://www.gamespy.com/articles/november01/modworld3/index3.shtm" target="_blank">this simple description</a>, "Natural Selection - almost a real-time strategy game with futuristic strategic action," along with the screenshot of *something* (could someone tell me what map that is?), grabbed my attention.

So, I visited the site, looked around, tried to read the "World" section but I couldn't sit still, and then a couple days later I signed up on the forums, and started mapping. Then I had a question about particle systems, but no one answered me, so I wrote my own <a href="http://66.70.175.88/cgi-bin/UltraBoard/UltraBoard.cgi?action=Read&BID=4&TID=3865&P=1&SID=31212#ID16" target="_blank">tutorial</a> about it. Ahh, those were the days.

It has been a wait, but every day is closer to release. If you can't stand the wait, I would suggest taking up some NS-related hobby, such as mapping, making pictures, composing a theme song entirely out of armpit noises (:0), etc. to keep you busy.

We're already into playtests, so it really cannot be much longer at all! Just hold on guys

That's definitely Integrate's work.  I couldn't say which map that is, or if he's even still working on that one.  I know he showed off some work a couple months back (February, I think), though I haven't seen anything since.  Hopefully he still is working, because his maps looked great.

And I've been around since September 18th.
