Different rooms

So I think we can all agree that subnautica bases could use a new look and I think the problem is that the multipurpose rooms are all the same. For starters, I think a 45° hallway could be cool. That's not my idea, I took that from somebody else. However on personal feelings, I would like a large rectangular room maybe, thats nice. Also maybe there should be changeable lighting

    If the devs would reuse the Moonpool structure we'd have a nice big rect room.

    I'm also missing vertical bulkheads and more cases were we can test bulkheads and flooding. Also a base needs a command center with holo display, that allows:
    • viewing the base as hologram like with the Cyclops, together with info on breaches, bulkheads and flooding
    • the ability to switch base power and separate power consumptions like water, light, etc.

    Although if it will ever come it will be part of additional post release content.

    I think a lot of the monotony with bases could be fixed with two things;

    1) Definitely the 45° hallway. We can put hatches on the "off" sides, why not other components?
    2) Undoing the auto-attach function. I think this is the reason I've encountered so many instances where I can't put a room or corridor in a spot even though there is plenty of room. The system blocks the placement because it's close enough to attach to some other structure but it isn't aligned properly to attach. There are tons of reasons I might want two rooms next to each other without them having a corridor between.

    I also like the idea of a command center. This could be a simple wall-mounted module even. Just something to let you access base information. I'd like to keep an eye on my hull integrity, power requirements, and whatever other info might be relevant.
