2.22 gigs of "tempsave" files [Experimental]

So I've been scratching my head the past few days for why my relativly small SSD has been fluctuating more than usual.
"Okay, time to run Ccleaner and see what's what... over 2 gigs of temp files? Let's see that's caused that-WHAT THE ****"
2.22 gigs of "tempsave" files in the C users temp stuff. I've got steam installed into my much larger 2 terrabyte hard drive for a reason.
I really. REALLY hope that the trend of "Optimizing performance" isn't just even more gigs of data on your disc drives. Just that something has gone very, VERY wrong as I've not really noticed such lingering (temp file based folder based) bloat from subnautica in the past.
We've already got gig sized save files we have been told are a known problem. gigs of "tempsave" data on top is discouraging.
