Version 50032
Description - The cases that used to house the stasis rifle on the Floating Island are missing. Were these removed in the last few days or is that a mistake?

They were there when I checked yesterday. It seems like this stuff can spawn in different places, but if the /cases/ are missing, I wonder if they accidentally spawned underground or something. I think clearing your cache causes things to re-spawn, but I could be wrong about that. Might be worth a try, though.

Could you walk me through that? I'm familiar with doing it via web browsers, but not with games.

Most if not all of the opened crates in the game have a chance to contain blueprints (sea glide, stasis rifle, and propulsion cannon) but it's not guaranteed, that way you can't just go to the exact same box every time and you have to go and explore the world. Furthermore, a lot of the crates themselves have variable spawning as well meaning that a crate you saw last play through might not be there in the next or even moved somewhere else. Now there are some notable exceptions to facilitate story narrative; some life pods have equipment around them which is denoted via their emergency broadcast or like with the propulsion cannon in the Aurora, to hint at what tool you need to progress.

Ok, but every prior playthrough had the Stasis rifle fragments on the floating Island. Even the wiki mentions that is where you get the pieces. When I had to restart the game recently I thought it was an odd bug that the crates are no longer there.

I know how this feels, given that the Modification Station fragments could reliably be counted on to spawn on or near the second abandoned base. But the crates for the Stasis Rifle weren't there in my latest playthrough either; they were in a bunch of other places. By the time I got to the Floating Island I'd already acquired the blueprint, but then I always start off trying to speedrun the beginning. Rest assured-- you'll get the fragments if you just play normally and investigate wrecks.

I just want to know if they are a bug because the boxes aren't even there or if they intentionally deleted the stasis rifle from there? Also: already got the rifle from other areas.
And someone mentioned deleting game cache. How is this done?

It's not a bug-- it's just the way the RNG does things sometimes. Deleting the game cache won't fix this because it's not anything that needs fixing; there's no guarantee the fragments will or won't spawn there in a new save.

It seems odd that first 3 plays of this game it was there then last 2 the boxes and fragments aren't. I'm more inclined to believe they deleted them from the area or the game might be glitched than RNG. Much like moonpool fragments aren't in the Jellyshroom caves anymore.

I've been playing since March. Things, including the locations of specific fragments, have changed often during that time. The Alien Containment in the last abandoned seabase isn't even scannable now. All we can do is just roll with it my dude.
