Torpedo mk2?

I love using torpedoes, but I just hate how little room you have for them. I was wondering if you ever toyed with the idea of making upgrades for the torpedo launchers so they carry more? Maybe have it so the second level can have 6. Or just drop the size of each torpedo to 1x2 instead of 2x2, reduce the storage of the launchers to 6x2?

    To cross our topic again, I think we would be ok with 4 torpedo per slots if you could have 4 'equipments' (visible stuff) upgrade and still have 2 more 'stats' upgrade (like armor and the pressure compensator)

    You could solve it with more torpedoes, but I prefer the idea of homing torpedo. It don't cheapen them.

    Also, as said on the other topic:
    I'm actually surprised there's torpedo AT ALL in this "no gun" games.
    I wonder if they had planned to use them to break open walls or other.



    edit:(upgrade->slot to match more my meaning and exclude upgrade of an upgrade)

    They're useful vs Reapers and Warpers. It tends to freak them out and buys you time before they make you regret being in that area. Also: I think they're the only thing that works vs Ampeels. Not sure, I'm too afraid to try the knife on 'em.

    I would like to see a more compactly designed torpedo so more can be carried
