So what do we do with Uranium now? (not uraninite crystals)

With the new Voice of the Deep update, they changed the recipe of Uranium Rods to use the Uraninite Crystals without having to turn them into Uranium. However, before this update, I had a bunch of Uranium in some lockers that I can't turn into rods.

Is there a purpose for them still? Like a different recipe I haven't seen? Or are they just dead items I should just toss?

They've got no use anymore (or for the foreseeable future, anyway). You could keep them for the sake of it, but otherwise you could probs use the space better.
