prawn suit right arm in vr makes game stuck

hello.
when i play with the xbone gamepad and vive vr, activating the prawn suit right arm will cause the game to ignore all inputs.
it happened for me with the drill arm equipped, and with nothing equipped.
it happened with a new prawn via 'spawn exosuit' as well as my old suit.
it happens with both experimental and stable from steam.
it does not happen in non-vr mode.
anyone else?

*also happens when pushing right trigger in the seamoth.
*don't know if it's relevant, but i have disabled the option for aiming with your sight for selecting menu items and such.
