Crashing at beginning on a brand new laptop

Hi,
I just got a new laptop with a good cpu/gpu, but I just cannot get Subnautica to run correctly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I've re-downloaded my current drivers and I've tried the DirectX 9 trick, but nothing works. At this point I'm wondering if my gpu is busted, but I thought I would get your opinion.

Any help with this would be appreciated before I try to return my laptop for a possible repair. Thanks,
