Aurora location changed???

I was just returning to my lifepod from the floating island. Then i noticed that the aurora wasn't next to my lifepod anymore. My lifepod however was still at it's original place. I use the aurora to navigate but since it is 600m out of it's place it is confusing. I also made a new save wich didn't help. It's also pretty creepy cause it now looks like the safe shallows lie at the back of the aurora. And everybody knows that reapers like to go for a swim there...
