32 player ns game, from what we've seen, would NOT be fun! trust us, but anyway, most of the stuff in NS right now is not clientside, and is mega laggy, but your server problem however, will most likely be resolved by comprox getting us 5 dedicated servers! w00t for compy!

    Yes.

Which is about the only thing I can say to that.

Oh... other than this: We've got a lot of really good servers just waiting for this mod to come out. And Spyder has some 'connections' at HomeLAN.

Why thank you Cyanide, and Spyder might not be the only one with connections at HA soon <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> Now, if I only got some <b>donations</b> or such for my servers <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

Good lord. All this worry from someone who has broadband...

Contrary to what playtesters might have thought, the 'lag' they saw on playtest servers was not really to do with network transmission, and actually 90% due to the server's processor being overrun with with NS running in unoptimized, logged, debug mode for the purposes of playtesting. If you run a netgraph (as well as perfmon on the servers, like we did), I typically saw about 60-90MS ping times. However! I would see about 180-220 'latency' in the HL scoreboard, which measures total degradation of your experience due to slow processing, vis, net, etc.

So... don't worry. It's all under control.

    heh

I trust that Flarya will have everything under controll when he desides to release NS.
