I dont want to know what it will help, just if it will change anything other than fix the problems that im gonna fix.

It depends if you install it from the CD or from the cabs.
(I'm assuming Win9x here, correct me if I'm wrong.)

by "cabs" I mean the copy of the windows cd that your computer makes when you install windows the first time. The setup file can be accessed thus: "c:\windows\options\cabs\setup.exe". The CD I'm assuming you know how to use.

if you install from the cabs, it will be exactly the same, just if you're having a crashing problem it'll go away, usually. if you install from the CD, all your windows settings will go back to default and sometimes you'll lose custom pointers. But everything else on your hard drive should be fine.

I always find that is better the Format the Drive ( loose everthing) and start from fresh. But hey thats just me <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
