I have lag also but it usually stops after a few mins.

Do you know what size the it is? And if it's an SSD? Because regular external hard drives are definitely cheaper. But not SSDs, which are the only ones that actually help.
Also, you can disregard the post. I'm not sure what changed but I just fired up the game again after quite awhile and although the lag is still noticeable and kind of frequent, I can at least actually play now!
