i think we should have more base pieces. here are my ideas:
-indoor lights: made with 2-5 flashlight and 1 titanium. bases with no indoor lights will be dark. recipe changes depending what kind of room you are using it in.
-wiring: made with copper wire. connect a powered tech item to a room with a power source. connected. the wires are hidden
-switch: made with titanium, copper wire and a computer chip. switches are made to conserve power. to make them work properly. connect a wire from the switch to a room with a power source attached. then connect a wire from the switch to what you want to toggle. for example you can turn off and on lights.
-connecting multipurpose rooms: made with 3 titanium. attach two multipurpose rooms. then build the "multipurpose connection" in between the two rooms.
for example. you can make a long multipurpose room. the use is for making more room. i made this up when i was trying to make a subnautica version of my house.
-power bank: made with wiring kit, 4 titanium, 3 copper wire, and lubricant. can store up to 200 power. when you click on the power bank it will pop up a menu that makes you store power. when you store power it will take away your specified power and put it in the bank. you can take power from the bank whenever you want. when you run out of power you can use the power bank to release all the power in the bank. power that is stored will be preserved. use wiring to connect rooms you want it to take power from or take power to.
-more glass options: more places to put windows. examples: floor, ceiling, and turn a hatch into a glass hatch.
-indoor cameras: same recipe as camera drone except with no battery. useful for quickly checking a large base for floods. hook up the camera with wiring to a powered indoor camera room.
-indoor camera room: made with 4 titanium, glass, computer chip, and copper wire. use to view through the cameras. to power this room (like every other room) you must either place a power source on this room or wire it up to a powered room.
these are my ideas, i hope you enjoyed.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against additional decorative interior lights or cameras that we could install. Just strip the wiring part from it. Although the basic light level should still be there just by building the base and powering it.
Since the whole base building system works with rather "big" ready-to-use-parts that we connect to each other it just does not make sense to me that those parts would not be fitted with basic things like lights. If we would craft a MP-room "wall by wall" with floor and ceiling it would be the other way around but we don't have that kind of base building mechanic so a little less customisation for the sake of quicker building. I find it refreshingly different then having to build the same way in every survival game.
