Teleporters

Hey, I thinked about wearable teleporters. Warpers are warping from place to place and they can warp you. So it could be fun to have your own teleporter (or a teleporter gun) but it should cost very very much resources. (But maybe it will be too much cheating, I don't know)

    Maybe for creative mode. :)

In a normal game, though...ehhh, I personally don't think it'd work. The Warpers are operating on technology we don't understand even in the future world of the game, so the idea that a stranded survivor with minimal research capabilities could replicate the technology well enough that it doesn't smear him across half a hemisphere seems a tad bit farfetched.

Seems almost completely useless to be honest.

Well, the Unreal Tournament version is for our purposes, but being able to drop a teleport beacon somewhere (say, floating island) and be able to zap there from anywhere would be a huge time-saver. But, like I said earlier, doing so in anything but Creative mode would be practically game-breaking. Developing something like this just for Creative mode would be a lot of effort for little output, so I don't think we should hold our collective breath.

Remember, "Game logic". The farfetched is always doable. And remember, the protagonist can just lay back while he has a computer AI that can research, invent and build anything he needs.

That depends. It could be a significant time saver. Let's throw out the personal teleporter "gun" for a minute and say that the teleporter was a base module: You plant one at your main base in the Shallows, scout out with your Cyclops, then plant another at your auxiliary base in, let's say, the ILZ. The two would link together and you have instant access between them. Save yourself the time needed to travel back and forth with a Cyclops.
