New creature: Scummer

This is an idea for a new creature. The name, forgive me as I am terrible with names, is “Scummer”. It lives close to the ocean floor and mainly eats plants, however, they have been seen eating cave/blood crawlers.
They could be found in the Crash Zone, Grassy Plateaus (for the Reefbacks), Dunes, and Blood Kelp. Possibly the Lost River, Sparse Reef, and the new “Crag Fields” biome. Relationship to reaper leviathans maybe as a side prey?
Scummers would swim along the floor and could be found cleaning Reefbacks. Occasionally while swimming, they could spawn in a cave crawler and eat it, much like the Sea Treader behavior.
They would be passive until attacked. Upon taking damage, they would poison the player for 10% damage per second over 3 seconds (30%).

Dorsal plates- As a bottom feeder, Scummers have adapted a way to protect themselves from attacks from above. The plates are similar in composition to those of a Gasopod.
Eyes- The eyes on this species are set looking upward, adapted to a bottom feeder lifestyle.
Snout- The elongated snout on this creature suggests it digs deep into the sand to find its prey. Along the edge of the mouth there are 4 small appendages with a small spike. These arms are used to grip prey or tear plants, and the spike injects a venom similar to Gasopod venom.
Assesment: Distant cousin to the Gasopod. Neutral, do not attack.

Ah! Didn't quite get that. Sorry. So this fellow is a tad on the big side, then...about the size of a gasopod?
I like the concept, and it's your idea so you have free reign, but...I'd make it smaller. About trout-sized or so. Maybe as big as a channel catfish. That doesn't invalidate the relationship to the gasopod; there are many related organisms that have radical size differences. But a creature that size would have tremendous caloric requirements to survive, meaning it's going to be eating nearly non-stop, like a manatee. Scale it down a bit and its method of feeding makes perfect sense, along with its behaviors and physical traits.
