What about large carnivorous plants on the islands?

Don't have a full idea framed here but I thought it was too good not to post it anyway

What if there were large Venus fly trap like plants on the island that could attack and bite anything that got near it? ( like crawlers and you) they could even hang off the side of the islands and grab food out of the water

The animation for this could be very cool and very scary.

Then just for fun you could have them produce this high food/water content fruit you could eat?

Thoughts?

I don't understand why they had such a difficult time surviving on that island, when I can easily feed myself with a single potato pot.

Ops, sorry that comment was a bit out of topic, but yes I agree there should be something dangerous on that island apart from those spider things.

Storms - surface storms... in canon.

IMHO, mid-game we should get some weather that ruptures any bases built within 15 metres of the surface (and maybe kills growing beds if they are too shallow).

Radiation can be carried by wind systems, so I thought it'd be interesting if periodic storms could temporarily widen the radius of the Aurora's radiation zone. It'd give a bit more incentive to fix the particle containment field.

I remember hearing from meteorologists that oceanic storms on a supermassive ocean could get even more horrifying than the worst hurricanes we have today, simply because there's no large landmasses to break up the growing storm.

The section of the world we've got literally just have two relatively small landmasses.

I wouldn't mind a Horrible Storm update or mechanic, personally.

Has anyone seen the ocean scene from "Interstellar"? if not, watch it here:
(I doubt even the G.U.N. could hold up to this.)
