Quartz/Metal Salvage/"Pick-upables" won't spawn

Pretty self-explanatory; I loaded up my game and set off to load up on resources. After 45 minutes of finding nearly nothing, having searched everywhere around the Aurora within a 500m radius and more, I realized that it wasn't just bad luck - there was nothing to find. Restarted the game, then my computer. Same thing.
Could be that they're there and just not visible, because the environment suddenly began to have serious load-time issues starting from a few saves earlier (each chunk taking ~7sec to load).
I can't really say much about reproducing this glitch because, well, I have no idea what I did.
Bugs like these are kind of a game breaker so hopefully there's a solution/suggestions soon?
