How to use the hot bar

Is there a way to manually put things/organize them in my hotbar/quick select? I was hoping to organize it but I don't know how to.

So the only way i know how to do that is by lets say the last thing you want to be in your hot bar is by selecting it first and then second to last, and so on.

Best way: empty out the items you can equip into a locker or something, then re add them to your inventory in the order you want them on your hot bar

Thanks both of you. I hope they change that because that's really annoying because I don't have any lockers yet.
