Beastly pics - That thing ate my Seamoth

I was taking some scenic photos, what is not pictured is that I then took the Seamoth out to collect lithium. Missed the screens because I panicked trying to save the Seamoth. He actually attacked and chewed on it twice before it was destroyed.

I've noticed that reapers will often try and bite the cyclops if you have a seamoth docked inside, I thought it was a pretty cool to be driving along and suddenly this huge beast rams into the side.

Could it be the Reapers sees a docked vehicle group as two separate entities? Also, does this happens with the PRAWN?
