Struggles with not playing

So the Precursor update came out and it was super epic and awesome, but I really wanted to wait to start a new world till version 1.0 so I tried by best not to play it and until yesterday I was fine I was like

    I wasn't going to play this update either, but in part due to the delay and the way that amped up the hype I ended up stiffly staring at the countdown anyway. Best wasted 30 minutes of my life. I'm planning on skipping the January update now and play again in February, but I've got a hunch my plans will be thwarted once more.
