Crashing

Since Dec. 15 update, the game now crashes at startup. It takes several attempts before I can get the main menu screen to come up and let me play. Most of the time I start it up, it crashes instantly. Other times, it will start up with a window stating it is still in development, but usually will start after that. Once it is loaded and playing, it's okay minus small issues like holes/seams showing in terrain.

Aside from that, the game runs better once it starts, than it did after the Bones update.

Go into your subnautica folder (steam/steamapps/common/subnautica) then find SNAppData/SavedGames/slot0000. In that folder, delete the CellsCache and CompiledOctreesCache folders.

This will make your game run smooth again. However, any area that have been terraformed (either by explosions or base construction) will be reset. If you have a base that has terraformed an area to fit it will still be there but the area around it will be restored so it might block pathways, entrances or appliances in your base.
This also affects sealed doors that have been cut open or repaired.

Just remember to save your game before applying this temporary solution.
