42312 - Game randomly crashes when moving around underwater (currently trying to get to lifepod 3)

I'm currently having great difficulty getting around the game. For the most part it plays fine (im using AMD FX 8 core CPU with 32GB RAM and an nVidia GTX 1070 running DirectX 12).
While heading towards lifepod 3 from the Aurora the game freezes for a moment, will take about 20 seconds to render the next area ahead and then if i move forward the game crashes out.
I have attached crash reports.
