Where are wild Emperors found?

So, where can I find a wild Emperor? I know it wouldn't work in game since the Emperors are basically the key to the end, but still I really want to know where I can find one. I don't think they'd be extinct or anything because, well, they're huge and immune to Carar. Maybe the Precursors wiped them out testing the Carar, but as far as I know they only used one or two of each species, Noah's Ark style. So where are these wild Emperors? Maybe it's already in the game and I missed it. I just thought about this a second ago and I really want to know :)

    I read something, I can't remember where, that said they were mostly extinct. I think what it said was that the the Sea Emperors fed on plankton and/or algae. The advent of Caraar destroyed the microbiomes of the ocean, and then as a result the plankton and algae died off (and the Emperors along with them). Sort of like the sea crown. Again, I can't remember where I read this, so definitely not the most reliable source.

    Sea Emperors aren't in the game yet; might be in experimental but I don't think so. As far as I know, they are bordering on existinct and the only alive ones are the captive ones. However, solving their predicament will have the spawn in the wild.

    I think there is only one fully grown Sea Emperor that is yet to be implemented along with a few juvenile Emperors. But, what do I know. ;)

    You will only find one fully grown Sea Emperor in the game, imprisoned by the Precursors in a large facility in the Active Lava Zone. It will have laid 5 eggs, which must be hatched by the player to find a cure for the virus.

    They will not be anywhere else.

    What I'm wondering is, will the Sea Emperor talk to us telepathically? Or will she communicate electronically and send a message to our PDA? Or will she not communicate at all so we have to rely on Data Terminals for info?

    Will she forever be imprisoned in the Precursor Facility? Or will she escape with you and heroically hold off the Sea Dragons while you flee with her babies?

    based on this size comparison, calculations show that there would need to be a lot of sea dragons to take her down.

    The heroism is not her standing against a superior force of sea dragons, but in protecting you from instant death at the maw of one of the fiery bastards.

    Also the Warpers are gonna go ape shit once you get into her aquarium and all the other creatures inside are gonna help you fight them off, at some point.

    If I can't fight these damn things, i can sure take solace in the fact that something else will give them their just comeuppance for my many deaths.
