Think of this weapon as a type of spray paint gun, but instead of paint it fires poisonous acid. The acid would deal a certain amount of damage to an enemy that steps on it. The acid stays around for about 30 secs. You do need to reload the weapon every 500 ammo. The ammo depletes every .10 seconds at a rate of 2.

Remember, it takes time, effort and money to implement a new piece of content. There should be a better reason to add content, than simply; for the sake of more content.
We could all add "cool ideas" all day. Where is my rocket launcher, handheld railgun, my magnetic wall-running boots, my gorge hook abillity, my bullettime fades etc. etc. But there needs to be good well thought out reasons to even contemplate suggesting these things. Otherwise it's just shouting at the wind.
Don't worry, your enthusiasm is exactly what the game needs right now. It's just that we've heard all these marine toys suggestions for four years now

Easy. Make grenade launcher's grenades unaffected by gravity, explode on impact, and increase their projectile speed. Bam, rocket.
Well... maybe not quite as easy if the code is sufficiently convoluted, but theoretically easy.

Stats:
-It is a Modified flamethrower
-Particle system added to individual flame hitboxes (since they were originally invisible) with the Basilisk' Gas sprite from R Funko CZ mod (whose creator turns out to be the same guy who is making Murnatan
-Hitbox of the flamethrower particle reduced from 0.9x0.9m to 0.6x0.6 or so meters to prevent yourself from burning yourself in vents and when touching a wall (tremulous bug)
-Flamethrower falls to gravity (gravity mod = 1.0)
-Flames bounce off the ground with half momentum preserved (so they sit on the ground)
-Expiry time increased to 1.5 seconds or someting
-Buy flamethrower + jetpack = OP = Profit?!?
