Xbox one fps are killing this game for me.

So I realize that there are plenty of threads on this topic, but every one that I have seen have not had any developer responses. Does anyone have a link to a thread or a post where the developers have addressed the problems with the fps on console, communicated their plans to fix the issue and about how long we have to wait? I bought the preview a while back and noticed the fps issues then so I set it aside in hopes that a few months down the line that they would be smoothed out. Just recently picked it back up with excitment only to find that the fps is worse? This game could easily consume a year of my life but I can not fully appreciate nor enjoy what this game is with these fps issues. I know nothing about what it takes to fix the problems this game faces or how many people are on this development team, but it is pretty frustrating not having any sense as to whether or not this issues will ever be fixed. And if they are fixed, how long do we have to wait? Why are we adding new creatures and such when the fps is still broken? Make the game a smooth playable experience on console before you add stuff.

The closest to an official answer for a long time has been that polishing (which includes but is not limited to optimization) will happen shortly before V1.0, which is currently set for February (after two delays) with an emphasis that first Unity would be upgraded, which happened in October. That was hoped to help smooth things out, but you might gather from the various topics that PC are now experiencing some major bugs due to the world data continuously piling up. Hopefully, this will be fixed next update in November.
The November update should do away completely with terrain deformation, a longtime feature that, while cool, was bloating up save files, so it should improve performance. UWE also has started the polishing process a few days ago, but it seems to me it's currently just in the okay-so-what-is-it-we-all-need-to-do fase.
