[Linux] Sometimes quitting the game, or after a victory, crashes the game AND MY ENTIRE STEAM

Okay, let me clarify the title here.
Sometimes when I am on a team that wins a game, the game crashes, and STEAM crashes too at the same time. No error message comes up, just BAM, closed.
There are, however, times when I win/lose and it's just fine. And there are times when I quit the game and it's just fine. So this is erratic.
I only re-installed NS2 about a week or so ago, so I don't suspect any caching issue.
