Few Suggestions

If some of these are already suggested then I must apologize I did not look first

Having bought Subnautica and thoroughly enjoying it I just wanted to come here and add my own two cents to the pot of ideas.

At my first play through I never found anything lacking nor did I ever say "if this game had this it would be better" until my second play through. There with moderate understanding of the game.

After clocking 66 hours on this game I finally have a few suggestions I would like to see implemented.

Fauna AI / Behaviors
For starters overall AI nice but its very basic right now and that is to be expected since its not even released yet and still in development stages. However Sandsharks (which I am sure multiple people already addressed) do not behave like Sandsharks, well my understanding of the wiki and how the game explains them. I expected a fauna that lay in wait in the sand then as soon as another fauna or the player gets near/close proximity they strike and chase you down until finally you evade or go to far from the biome or even just going to the surface. Its sad seeing them swim around and growling all over it takes away a sense of dread when in that biome if you can see them. I do get they are hunting other fish but they spend little to no time in the sand.

There should be migration patterns of some of the faunas in the game. Let me explain with a hypothetical example, lets say a biome has 2500 food in terms of fauna and plant life right? What if reaper leviathans eat up all that food in the biome they should migrate to a more populated biome to fest realisticly speaking right? There should be migration patterns so even when you think a biome has nothing threatening to you one day, the following day will be different. I am not suggesting it should happen daily and at a grand scale but over time the biome should change. Having different species introduced to a already stable environment may cause like a shortage of certain fauna or just life threatening in general.

Need more curious AI fuana that makes it its business to come all the way up to you and just observe you make it more realistic like.

More Intelligent and Fleshed out AI
I do love the whole Vehicles and base talking to you business but I would love it if it did more for instance. Like your newly designed base it should be able to Seal bulk heads if a leak is present in that section and inform which section it is. Or if a Reapear Levithan is dangerously close to your base or attacking it. Auto harvesting crops when your out and replanting back, making a float of food if too low. I would love if the AI was not there for decoration and actually made it self useful like auto removing spent fuel rods and auto filling them when necessary. Another example what if you left your cyclops to mine a few things right. You went a bit far and running low powercells and other things and you know you wont make it back in time. Why couldn't we just connect to it and tell it to make its way to you automatically and pick up you and the prawn without you having to leave the prawn.
Yes I would like to see more of the AI becoming a staple. I mean the Aurora should have a AI like that so before it crashed so implementation should be easy and getting in game would require a Station that can soder and make computer boards/ motherboards. The AI we should have the choice of either male or female voice.

Different Tiers of Cyclops
Cyclops is a beast enough said. Beast without fangs *cough*
Could we get a Tier 2 Cyclops that can load torpedoes Please for the love god I see torpedo and instantly think CYCLOPS!. Tier above 1 should be superior in terms of movement and how much damage it can take and dive and adding new features like remote connectivity that hooks up with your suit so you can tell it what to do from a certain distance. This should not be accessible until maybe we get AI function which should relay plans to you about an upgraded version which you yourself can build. Maybe the mobile vehicle bay would need to be upgraded to facilitate the upgrade. So upon activating the new upgraded mobile vehicle bay it would send a signal to the cyclops to come the surface to let you upgrade it but the mobile vehicle bay has to be in range to do so.
Maybe the upgrade animations can be the small robots pulling certain areas of it apart and replacing it withg with its Tier 2 counterpart.

Seabases
Reinforced hulls. Could we get a texture that does not impact the interior so I can build on the wall of the it is on I mean seeing a fabricator clip through the reinforced hull is painful to look at for me. I hate clipping.

-Bigger version of the multipurpose room maybe 2 times the normal size
-corridor that connects up and not that water pipe (enough said)
-Reinforced glass dome would be nice
-reinforced glass (not as strong as reinforced hull but at least its a not a negative)
-Power should not shut off if one area is leaking that is not the reactor room
-Defenses?

Unique Fauna
There needs to be unique spawns as well that do not follow basic spawn rates or routine like for instance. Having a unique Sand Shark that is of different color and does not stay in the Mushroom biome and travels wherever it wants in the sand but sticks to the bottom of the sea floor. OR a Reaper Leviathan that is quite distinguishable from the rest and it is a rare to even see and has different behavior patterns. There should be Unique spawns that do not stick there predetermined areas and they should roam to always give you the feeling of always looking back because you never know.

Overall amazing game and thank you for reading

I get the feeling they're not done with AI yet. This is based on my own observation though, nothing concrete. For instance, nothing seems to walk and swim. The 2 spiders work, but the Shuttlebugs only swim, they don't walk, and I'm not sure the AI can do both, at least currently. And having an AI transition between walk and swim might be an issue as well.

AI with an interaction besides ignore/attack would be very neat! Like if a Stalker would decide to circle you mostly, maybe take a nibble once, but not actually bother to bite more than once? Animals do mostly interact with their mouths, and there's not a lot of different ways to do that.

And yeah, I hope the Cyclops gets more toys.

Same thing I thought when I played this game the AI felt very basic.

I know right having a cyclops with Torpedoes and and a reinforced hull and new models for a tier would be sexy not gonna lie.
