Tide Water Levels

What I was thinking is that you could add a new biome that has changing water levels, and that has rocks submerged during high tide, but exposed during low tide. Also, there could be more passive creatures during low tide, but more aggressive creatures during high tide. You don't need to add new creatures for this biome either as, you could just put sandsharks, rock puncher (if you get rid off its terraforming abilities and instead just create a cloud of dust when it hits rock), and things like that.
