Modular Mobile Dwelling (Concept ONLY: would not fit within the current game)

This is only a concept. It is meant to inspire more ideas and thoughts about the Subnautica world. Please do not tell me this would break the game or anything like that. I am aware that it most likely wouldn't work within the framework and story of the game. IF (and thats a big 'IF') if they added something like this, it would really only work as a post-endgame addition for continued game-play.

Now that I have that out of the way... lol.

The Modular Mobile Dwelling system.
Developed by the New London Submarine Development Department.

This is a dwelling that is mobile. It is based on 3.7 meter (12 foot) diameter spheres that are interlockable. Each unit is self contained and includes ballast tanks, lighting, power storage and compact thrusters for maneuvering.

INTENDED for stationary use most of the time, it is able to be relocated but is very slow and ponderous. Not useful as a submarine.

Can be anchored and fixed in place for long term use.

The Spheres can operate independently or as a small cluster arranged is any manner fit to the builder. Solar panels can be added (an upgrade to the upper ballast tank area of the sphere) or certain spheres can be combined with energy devices such as the bio-reactor to provide power. However, the most likely power would be a few solar panels and a multi-cell power bank. Each sphere can store a given amount of energy, but the power bank provides extra power storage.
Solar panel upgrade does not collect energy below 100m. Alternative energy must be provided or the user will be required to transport power cells to a secondary fixed base with built in charging equipment.

Spheres can be built with specific capabilities to augment the whole assembly. Such as:
*Control station. (single spheres have their own small control area by one of the viewports. But when more than one are connected one station is chosen as the primary. This does allow for more than one control location. Allowing for reasonable flexibility when maneuvering.)
*Power storage.
*Power production.
*Speed booster.
*Storage.
*Scanner.
*Fabrication.
*etc.

Each sphere has its own thrusters and as such the speed is the same for any number together.

A standard sphere has a speed of just 5 m/s. Speed can be upgraded to 10 m/s with the addition of a speed booster sphere.

THERE IS A LIMIT OF 12 SPHERES PER MOBILE FACILITY. Also; anything beyond 4 connected would need external supports in the form of metal brackets between. (not shown in models)
Special upgrades allow for up to 24 spheres.

CAN dock with base via a specialized docking corridor.

MAXIMUM DEPTH OF 500m without extra bracing supports.

All unused hatches have glass windows as porthole/viewports.

Small subs like the Seamoth and Prawn can dock with the bottom port of a special docking sphere. However, no modifications or refitting can be done to the docked sub, and the user would need to build a moonpool for that.

System can draw energy from nearby bases if docked.

Specifically useful for studying flora and fauna over a wide area. Also particularly effective as mobile mining bases.

Spheres would probably be called "Cells" due to the cellular & modular nature.

((Please forgive the crude renders. I made this in a few minutes.))
