Pilot the Cyclops
Switch to a piloting camera (I was using the conning tower camera, but I assume any camera will work)
Press F8 to up the feedback screen
Type a bunch of stuff, most importantly an 'e'
>The camera continues to respond to mouse and keyboard imputs, and pressing 'e' causes the player to stop piloting the cyclops
Leave the feedback screen (I submitted the feedback)
>Player loses mouse control and access to esc menu and PDA (tab)
I'm currently stuck in a cyclops like this, so if anyone has a workaround for this (that doesn't involve force quitting the game, I don't want to lose the progress I made since I started playing, p.s. add an autosave on exit + quick save feature) I'd appreciate it. Right now my best plan is to let myself die to due to dehydration and just take my seamoth back.
EDIT: Dying and respawning did not clear up the control issue.

Things obviously don't take focus properly, like how you honk the horn while selecting Cyclops cameras, but mostly this menu stuff.
You're screwed, sorry. I did mine after building two bases and winding up at the lava castle.
