Aurora Not Loading Properly

So I have a save with 20+ hours in it from a few months ago. I hadn't played Subnautica since before the PRAWN update. I loaded up my save yesterday and decided to go the Aurora to get the PRAWN fragments. I made it to the PRAWN bay but found it empty of PRAWNs. Furthermore, there is a doorway I can look and walk through that seems to lead to an unloaded portion of the Aurora. The only significant features of the Aurora I could access were the empty PRAWN bay and the drive core.

Due to the nature of the bug I don't really have anything for reproduction steps/details, but if anyone has any questions or wants screenshots I'll happily oblige.
I could probably solve the problem by starting a new game, but I'd rather avoid that if possible. I tried reinstalling the game but there was no change.
