O2 Aerts in Hardcore have been added?

I looked for a reference to this with 'search' and found none.
I noticed I was getting O2 alerts in a new hardcore save I made today! Imagine my surprise.

TBH I had gotten used to the lack of O2 alerts at this point, but this seems like a reasonable change to me. Permadeath is already a pretty serious penalty and the lack of alerts felt like a rather artificial way of increasing difficulty.
I wonder if it will remain this way in the long run?

It was part of the charm of this difficulties, next thing to do is remove perma death from Hardcore now
I believe most of us got that Captain Rebreather.
