Can anyone explain to me how to upgrade the pressure compensator to the mk2 and then mk3? I have tried everything I know of and it will not let me upgrade it. And yes I have tried both the moon pool upgrade station and the crafting station. I have the blueprint for them and all the required material. I just can not figure this out.

Is the "crafting station" the fabricator? You need a modification station for the better pressure compensators. If the "crafting station" is the modification station, you'd have a bugged save file.

Tje one at the moon pool says it is the VEHICLE MODIFICATION STATION, the other one says it is the FABRICATOR. I have even tried to use the HABITAT BUILDER and nothing works. So you think it is a bug? Any work around that you know of?

Wow I think I just answered my question, after rereading your response again, I need a MODIFICATION STATION correct? Which I have not found yet.

Yep, that's right. The modification station is a different device from the vehicle modification station.

Good luck finding it. Feel free to ask for a tip (or straight-up help) if you have trouble locating it.

Thanks, I am currently searching the area north and to the left of the Aurora, found my first piece of MAGNETITE there.

You'll need the modification station. I found the fragments near the dunes, if I remember correctly. It wasn't super far away from a reaper

you can add the print to your inventory also with the dev command. click spoiler to see how.

open dev panel with LB/RB/A at the same time and type "blueprint workbenchblueprint" to add the print to your inventory

I found my parts for the modification station inside of the wrecks (each wreck has something different in it so be sure to check different ones) and no I did not check behind the aurora because I think a reaper is around that spot and do not want to put up with it.

If I use the dev command does your game still save?

Yes you can save when using the dev commands. It will save current state however your game is at the time. (cheats included)
