The new Damage detection thing

I do like the way your character responds now after getting damaged, sort of like a red out; I am in an experimemental build and when I got my rear-end stung by those hanging stingers that have even the smallest piece of their... whatever it is that is hanging through the rock that is attached to it, my screen went pink as my character yelled out in pain; then after that when a stalker chomped on my rear the screen went pink again, now i'd have thought that it would go red not pink.
