<div class="IPBDescription">some thoughts on the game</div> Hi everybody, I'm brand spankin' new to Ns and these forums, I figured I might as introduce myself.
The first things I noticed when I started playing were these: This is by far the slickest(in terms of presentation) mod I have seen. Secondly when I first started playing I thought the aliens would single handedly dominate considering the sheer number of abilities at their disposal. After all umbra, webs, blink cloak, carapace, celerity, hive sight etc seem to make for an easy victory for the Kharaa...at least on paper. The problem seems to lie in the fact that alien teams rarely (in my limited experience) make proper use of these unbelievable abilities. Gorges who dont web, skulks who simply charge straight ahead at teams of heavy armor marines and fades who dont understand how to use thier rockets all seem to even the playing field so much that I think that maybe the aliens need a slight boost! I only hope that people will try to play more as a team on pubs-unlikely as that may be.
Oh, nearly forgot-blink:unbelievable on paper ( and yes I've read the blink threads) but sadly lacking in reality. I hope they make it easier to use.
