Description
When the sound device is removed in such a way that the Windows reports the device as "Not plugged in" and a red X appears through the audio icon, the game will crash.
Reproducing
1. Start Subnautica with your audio device plugged in directly to the motherboard's onboard audio
2. Start a game (I do not know if this happens in menus but I assume it does)
3. Unplug the audio device from your motherboard's onboard audio.
This may not be reproducible on systems where disconnecting the audio device does not cause it to enter the "unplugged" state, it will depend on drivers and/or motherboard or sound card that is being used.
Please ask if you need more information.
