below underwater floating island

At the bottom of the floating island there nothing but sand sharks and a few lava vent, are they going to do anything there?

I want to know if they have anything plan cause it would take hundreds of year to form those islands and something had to be there during that time or formed during that time.

I'd fill it high with thick brine and add a hidden tunnel into the Lost River there, only barely broad enough for the Seamoth. And hidden under the brine: Spike Traps.
