subnaitica deliting old save

So logging on to subnautica and an update appears, played for an hour then i logg off. I get back on and my save file has been deleted.. that's 10 hours of progress sinking to the abyss. What the heck? :, (

The first save after the update often shows your older file in the load screen but if you load it is likely the new save. Just doesn't show you right away but for me the save is there and after the 2nd or 3rd time you load it it changes the file info on the load page.
