Help me fix the setting

ok. so I was playing the game on a very old graphics card that was not sufficient to play the game for about a week now--yeah, I know. I got a new one and it seems to run fine when i make a new game, however, my save file seems to think I'm still using the old one, and so the framerate is locked at atrociously low levels when I load THAT save. To be clear, the game (not the save) identifies my new card, so I'm looking for a way to not have to redo the however many hours I've put into the game. Thanks. Also, this might be relevant to a comment on this post: http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/143026/low-framerate-on-high-performance-pc-maybe-subnautica-uses-just-1-core-in-some-circumstances

Because the game was choppy, and became more and more so as I interacted with the environment, but it became completely unplayable when I crafted the cyclops.
Thanks again.

It's not possible for the game to use a graphics card that no longer exists in your rig. The game identifies your new card, then that's the card it's using. It sounds to me like there's a lot going on in that save (terrain loading etc.) and it's finding it hard to keep up. Have you altered the terrain, used the terraformer, or dug a lot of holes?

The cyclops causes me a lot of frame rate issues too, it's just because the game's not optimised well yet.

I know you don't want to, but I really think starting a new game is the best solution.

i have done all of the above, but I only used the terraformer to carve out enough space to park the seamoth in the moonwell
