feature request: Improve Communications Relay

I would like to see a feature added to the communications relay:
The communications relay should provide a beacon similar to the portable beacons.
Right now I need to place an external beacon near my bases in order to find them again, but it seems like the communications relay ought to just provide this functionality for the base.

Actually, what I was thinking would be internal beacons for mounting inside of bases. Basically copying the system used by Space Engineers - which is a really good system, BTW. You can manually adjust not only the ranges but also the names of your beacons, and, most importantly, you can turn them off when you don't need them.

So imagine being able to flip through custom waypoints for "Kelp Base Prime" and "Dunes Research Outpost" depending on whichever one you were trying to get to at the time.
