Temperature: you get to cold you start to slow down and die being wet amplifys effect after. get to hot and you lose hydration faster being in water lowers the effect. new scuba suit item that regulates body temp to an extent. makes the thermometer way more useful

Crafting your scuba suit: you start with some normal cloths that would slow you down in water and (combined with the last idea) stays damp for longer than a scuba suit if you ware it while still damp it would get you wet creating a need to craft a scuba suit and would be required to make different suits. possible new items/structure: towel- to dry off immediately (becomes damp after use). drying structure- a structure that drys items faster than when you leave it out to dry

Goggles: you start off without goggles which when in water makes things harder because it looks blurry would be an early game item made from 2 glass and silicone rubber. possible game mechanic: fogs up after wearing for to long this can be prolonged by upgrading them with a cooling gel and possibly even stopped

Stun weapon: player held tool that requires a powercell and needs to be scanned (late game item). it shoots a bolt of energy that stuns the enemy for a second and does a bit of damage that makes the target turn away but comes back. the more charge the shot has the more damage it has (same stun time though) but the shot becomes more uncontrollable for exp: lowest charge shoots in a straight line but the highest charge moves around uncontrollably in an area that expanse depending on the charge and its an energy guzzler that sucks up more energy the more charge the shot had. torpedo version: creates area where all animals that are within the AOE are stunned for around a second and gets a series of shocks that inflict damage dependent on how much mass it has. AOE stays around until its energy reserve is gone or if been active for 5 seconds will explode creating a short wave pulse that deals out the rest of the damage. takes a powercell and some titanium needs to be scanned to build is a rectangle object in your inventory the size of 2 torpedos

Map: a tab in your PDA that starts grey and gets filled in the more you explore also circles a broad area where your currently at. using a drone will take forever because it doesnt reveal as much as yourself exploring but its safer and drones aren't that expensive. swimming by yourself or in your seamoth/cyclops it gives you a middle ground its not to big nor to small but you risk your life. using sonar will give you the largest mapping area but because its a signal it has to return to the ship to get it and its so much data that it will take time to process so don't go willy nilly because you could lose yourself in unprocessed area of the map and you will truly not know where you are. flora, fauna, and materials you scan in an already mapped out biome will appear if you click on it scan everything in the biome and you get a bio of the biome

Drone upgrade ideas: drones would be treated like another fish so animals will try to eat it and if it has its flashlight on in a dark place it would draw other animals to it but its cheap to make. camouflage is promising but it costs more energy than if its not camouflaged and if your moving around in stealth mode and a predator is close to you it will start to chase you but i dont think a drone that is almost invisable would be common knowledge has to be scanned for. Thermal cam is useful in two ways you can find underwater vents where you can power your base from and because living things have heat signatures you can see them moving around but it can be hard to look at. Night vision: always useful but it has limited range and anything beyond the range is blackness but its useful with camouflage. an EPD is good for discouraging animals from attacking you but consumes energy and drones don't have a lot of storage for that. a drone fitted with a powercell gives the user more time to explore with a drone. drones were not made to just explore a drone fitted with a scanner would make finding fragments safer but its limited by range and when there are no more scan able things its useless. cyclops drone port upgrade: allows a single drone to be docked aboard the cyclops only adds a panel that the drone would be controlled from hey at least its mobile. Drone distress signal drones send out a signal to the operator when something bad happens to it so it can be recovered but you should be able to remove it from a drone control panel

Knowledge is power: how can a survivor know all about something that hasn't been documented this suggestion encourages the player to scan flora and fauna so that it makes it more life like in that you can't use something you don't know what it is or what its made of and it would help new players get to know what is what plus it opens up the ability for fish that are poisonous that need to be scanned to know how to remove the poison otherwise you nearly kill yourself

Accumulator: a structure that holds powercells and uses them as extra energy storage (the old generator model with the six powercells with maybe some tweaking and recoloring would make it easier you you cant think of a model

Current power: we as humans have already come up with the tech to make currents into power why don't we have this tech in the future. well it ain't the best power source because its power output cant be controlled that much but if its spinning its making power
