Gasopods are getting annoying...

Started a new game due to a BSOD ruining my save. Set up a base in about thirty minutes because I HAD to. Somehow it ended up over a group of gasopods.

So I barely managed to get a base working. Went out to get more material only to find more of those things surrounding it! Had to abandon that temporarily and used the materials I gathered to build a second base far away from those things.

Nothing like dying by gas in your lifepod and losing the radiation suit you were in the process of building...

This has happened to me several times. I usually restart because of it, and I always try to build my first real base over by my favorite lava geyser (which is always gasopod free).

Are they attracted to sea bases? When I built that first base they were a ways away, but when I returned with more materials they were right on top of the place. I'd say they're worse than having sandsharks and stalkers greet you at your door due to their gas ignoring walls.

Awww, but gasopods make adorable pets for your base:

You can knife them to death if nothing else. Its strange though, I've never seen them migrate like that.
