Idea for a solution for lack of materials after a bit of playing

Hello,
What if the volcanic eruptions blow some materials out of the earth's core here and there? Materials appropiate to it's biome, like we have a volcano in the safe shallows wich would blow out limestone and quartz for example.
These nodes will stick to the side of the volcano so it adds a type of danger level that you have to watch yourself when the volcano erupts again
My reason for the idea is that for some reason my interest in the game fell down a bit after knowing that resources don't respawn, I like building a lot and after a while I noticed it was getting tough finding resources and this had some kind of negative vibe where I didn't feel like playing anymore as settling down or making a base seemed unimportant because you'll empty the area of resources anyway.
This doesn't mean exploring won't be a thing anymore, to get other valuable materials you still need to explore other biomes and to be fair if you want blueprints you'll need to explore anyway..

After i-dont=know-how-many-games ive created since i started playing this game, way over 100 thats for sure, i've come to the conclusion now that quartz and metal salvages do respawn. Thats in any biome they're found in but more specifically in the Safe Shallows.
This may be something specific to my game (as in a bug in coding lines or w/e), im not sure about this, but others also have stated in the past on this community forum that they've noticed this too. I'm basing this statement on the many many many times where im 100% sure ive stripped the immediate area of a base i've build clean of any quartz, limestones and metal salvages but still, after 1-2-3 real time hours i see some resource still around my base, on the ocean floor (or in the case of limestones on rock walls and giant coral tubes).
That being said, its not insane respawn rates, only a few quartz here and there, same thing for limestones. The metal salvages however seems to pop back in more often than the other 2 i've named.
Mind you all, this is not a very scientific statement, its just my general feeling about this and personal observations, but thats as good as any experience anyone else has had in their own games. The only way to make this 100% sure would be to have the input of a Dev on this matter i guess.
I'm convinced that metal salvage does respawn...less so about the other resources.
good call !
