- Open your Steam App
- Click on Library to bring up your list of games
- Right click on Subnautica and select Properties
- At the top of that window select the tab for Local Files
- Click Browse Local Files
- From there open the folder SNAppData
- Open SavedGames folder
- Open the slotxxx folder that has your current game save.
- Open screenshots
- Put your photo in there
My saved games folder had 4 options to choose from but since I always only play one game and delete any others it was easy enough to determine which one it was. All of the unused slots only had a screenshot folder in side and nothing else. The active game folder had lots of text files and folders inside. If you have several game saves you are on your own trying to figure out which one you want!
I now have the evil cute kitten poster/Aurora pic in by base! Woot!
