audio cutting out.

So it's been a while since I played subnautica, and I wanted to get back into it. I sat down for 3 hours yesterday and didn't have a single problem with the audio. I sat down today to record it, and I was dealing with the audio constantly cutting out. It never did it when I had recorded the game previously. playing the normal version, not experimental. any ideas?

Did you happen to build the scanner room in that span of time? Ever since I built the scanner room a lot of the creatures no longer make their sounds such as stalkers. It makes avoiding being attacked a lot more difficult.

nope. and it's all audio.also, I am playing on recommended settings.
