Using the Habitat Builder, I found a way to shoot yourself straight up extremely fast (about 500m per second, i think) I have been able to recreate it a few times, and managed to get on top of the Aurora with it.
To replicate, first you need to have foundations placed above the sea level, with a way to get onto them. You can do this by building up out of the water through vertical tubes, then building a multipurpose room and a foundation off of it, then a hatch that leads onto the platform. Another way which I find a bit easier is to go where the water is shallow, like near the Aurora, and start building there.
Next, you need to build a room that doesn't have too many things around it. If you're too close to another object, such as the Aurora hull, you will simply run into it and stop ascending. I think you just need to make sure nothing is above you, not even diagonally. This usually means that you have to keep placing foundations until you are away from the other pieces of the base used to get onto the platforms, or away from the Aurora hull.
There is one more part you may need to build. At the spot you plan on ascending (which must be right next to the room you just made) you may need to place some Exterior Growbeds. You can use one, but it's easier with two. These are used for place holders, so you know where to stand, and as a safeguard, as the trick can just end up pushing you through the foundation and into the water below. The video I included doesn't have the Growbeds.
Now for the trick. You're going to use the Habitat Builder to prepare to build another room, but you will not need to build it. Set the blueprint outline so that the room will be build next to the room you already built, with the connecting hallway being built over the Growbeds. If you have the materials, it should allow you to build the room here, but don't. Now, look up until the blueprint snaps away, above the room. Next, stand on the Growbeds so that you would be in the hallway if you had built the room. Now jump, and while in midair, snap your mouse back to the original spot above the Growbeds. If done correctly, you should be inside the blueprint's hallway.
This part is a bit tricky, and may take a few tries. You need to get as close to the already made room as possible without disturbing the blueprint (if you get too close, the blueprint will vanish). Once you think you are close enough, look straight up as fast as you can. Don't look down right away, as you will only ascend as long as you are looking up. If done right, the blueprint will launch you. Now, you will either fall slowly because you hit something (usually if this happens you still get some air, but only about 30-50 meters or so) or your screen will be spinning rapidly, which means you are rising at a rate of about 500 meters per second. I don't recommend looking up for too long, as it takes a while to get back down, and I don't know how high you can go before the game breaks or something. While falling, you can change your direction slightly to give yourself a bit of forward motion, which is how I maneuvered to get myself onto the Aurora.
I'll put in some pictures/video to better show the process. Players, have fun trying it out! Devs, have fun fixing it!

I get the full glitch on the third try.
