So over the last two days I've been working on a recreation of the Aurora, not just for something to do but to use it in suggestions to make the idea come out better then it could with simple text.
So far I have finished the engines and have started to make the crawl up to the nose of the ship, to whoever made the original model for this ship, Bravo. After working on just the tail section of the ship I have come to realize the massive amount of work that goes into a model like this. Not only is there the model to make, but then there are the textures to map onto the vessel.
This recreation will not be a perfect mirror image of the Aurora, as I have next to no experience in this field, but I hope it comes across as a decent fan re-make.
I will post more images as I make more progress on the model.

I hope that we as fans keep this in mind and respect the devs enough not to go there.
Perhaps you should join with everyone else in pestering the devs for Subnautica swag. I'd also pay for an Aurora model...and a shirt!
