Certain items when dropped turn into cubes with a question mark on it?

Hi! So I recently bought Subnautica (Am loving it so far!) however something thats been bothering me is that certain items when dropped turn into this small cubes with a question mark on them like those acid mushroom things you can pick up! Is this the way it's supposed to be? Like haven't they made a model for some items yet? Or did something go wrong during my install?

Your game is fine and your first guess is correct. The game's still in development and some items haven't gotten a model yet. The question mark cubes are placeholders. You might also find cubes with item pictures on them (I think dropped creepvine is still like that), which are also placeholders.
